My new hospital adventure
Last night I went to the ER. I was in so much pain. My head, ear and jaw were aching so bad and pus was coming out of my eye and I was coughing. I take back anything I might have said about emotional pain being more unpleasant than physical pain. This was the most unpleasant pain I have ever experienced. I don’t know how I managed to get this sick. I couldn’t even sit still. I kept pacing in the room. I regretted ever going to the ER, because the wait time was just too long.
After the check-up, they asked for a CT scan and blood test. The blood test part was so uncomfortable! I have a fear of needles and the nurse had a lot of trouble finding a vein. The sensation of needle going in is what scares me. It just feels so uncomfortable. I am also worried about moving my arm during the blood draw. Just thinking about it makes me uncomfortable, so I will stop talking about it now.
I was worried about having a dangerous condition that would mean surgery or IVs, but it turned out to be sinusitis. Now, I am home and just feel so numb. I think this is because of the illness. I don’t know what to do, so I spent the whole day in front of the computer and in bed.
Besides that, I’m planning to read Watership Down. I ordered it from online and it will probably arrive in a few days. I have been interested in xenofiction books lately. After this, I might read Animal Farm. I am also reading The Forgotten Warrior by Erin Hunter. I read a lot of it yesterday when I had severe headache.
